In a northern suburb of Dallas lies Southern Methodist University, the location of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Thanks to a friend of Cate’s, we were able to secure passes to tour the Center. The rooms were set up to look like Christmas in the White House.
In addition to the substance of the Bush presidency (as illustrated below), we had the opportunity to pose behind the desk in the oval office. And we finished with lunch in the attached restaurant, where the food was excellent.
Are you announcing a run for the Oval Office, Ken? You look pretty good behind that desk. Ellen would make a fabulous first lady. ☺
Hahaha,
I need to be like Bill Morris did and change my email name to KenIsRetired. No oval, square, rectangular, or circular office in my future, thanks!
But yes, Ellen would make a great first lady.
What awesome pics! And I can only imagine what a treasured memory this is!
Thank you so much for sharing!❤️
Yes, Billie, it was a good memory. We are making lots of them…
On “The defining moment: 9-11” picture, what is that? Is that pieces from the plane? Or the tower?
Lily — Glad to hear from you. The picture shows twisted pieces of metal from the tower.
Good preview as we hope to see both Bush libraries this fall! Happy Trails!!
